On the second day after arriving in New York, Craig's Uncle Amitha took the little postnatal care team shopping. They first went to a neighborhood supermarket to see what they could find.
再到亞洲超市採買，在那兒亞洲各國食材都找得到，像各式印度香料，泰國香茅咖哩，中藥材等等都有姑婆和阿嬤可以直接用中文和店員溝通不需要翻譯。
Then, they moved on to an Asian supermarket where they found foodstuffs from all over Asia like all kinds of Indian curry, Thai lemongrass curry, Chinese medicine ingredients etc. Craig's Great Aunt From the Fifth Floor and Craig's Taiwanese Grandmother were able to speak Chinese to the supermarket staff, no need for an interpreter.
採購完後，不夠的隔一天再去一般超市補足。
After finishing their buying spree they decided that if they had forgotten anything they could make a trip to a regular supermarket the next day.
對於從台灣來的我們來說，剛來的前兩天不像是夏天，雖然當地人都穿著短袖短褲，我們還是包得緊緊的，直到第三天太陽出來才感覺暖暖的，我們才到陽台上曬太陽，連逵革也暖到想露肚子了。
For those who had travelled all the way from Taiwan the weather over the first two days was not much like summer. Although the locals were wearing short sleeves and shorts the visitors were dressed up very warmly. It wasn't until the third day that the sun came out and they began to feel warm. They immediately took advantage by going to sit out on the back deck in the sun. Craig even felt warm enough that he began to show off his belly!
