Craig's New Walker

Just two days before getting on a plane for the very first time, Craig received a brand new (second-hand) walker! His cousin, Soit-Jade had already made good use of it but Craig is getting near to the age where moving under his own steam is about to happen. He didn't like it the first time but it didn't take long for him to change his mind.

He likes it more when he has toys on the little tray in front of him. Of course that doesn't stop him from throwing the toys on the floor at every available opportunity but picking up his toys is his parents' mission in life.

And you really can't find a happier baby than Craig when he's in the walker.

Craig's Dad is not planning on updating the blog for the next three weeks while they travel to Australia to see Craig's grandparents. So, check back here around July 10~11 for the next installment.

Lunch with Dad's Co-workers

Craig was part of the crowd at Macaroni Grill when some of his Dad's co-workers got together for lunch last Thursday. At first, he wouldn't sit in his pram and had to get on his Mum's lap so that he could see what was going on.

He even tried out the bread, one tiny piece at a time.

While he was there, he became better acquainted with Grace. She likes to think of Craig as her future husband.

Grace kept him to herself for a while.

But then she decided that she could share.

Jinny got to hold him for a very brief sit.

And while she did, the other girls talked among themselves. (L-R: Christine, Joy and Grace)

Then, Helen took over and walked him around.

And then it was time to go home.

Craig's First Book

Taipei Public Library had a special event last weekend and Craig's Mum attended on Craig's behalf. The library is trying to promote reading among young people and was giving away two books per child or per parent.

As you can see, Craig likes his new books. He hasn't been able to tell us what they taste like but he has certainly given both a good chew.

The best one has soft furry bits for babies to touch. In this picture the teddy bear picture on the cover has a hairy chest made of .... teddy bear fur would be a good description, I guess. Anyway, as I said, Craig likes it and that's the most important thing.
