The weather had finally become warm enough for most people to wear shorts and short-sleeved shirts but Craig's Mum stuck with her jeans. It was decided that a morning walk to the beach would be a good idea. The first stop was the park across the street from Cooee Bay.
Craig didn't really get the hang of the swing. Maybe when he's bigger he'll enjoy it more.
He liked sitting on the sand with his Dad.
However, the danger of him putting beach sand in his mouth or rubbing it into his eyes meant that he was soon put back in his pram.
Meanwhile, Bailey said he wanted to bury himself in the sand.
Strangely, he didn't want to lie down and piling sand up on his legs was never really going to work. It seemed to be a half-hearted effort but he was having fun and that's the main thing when you're at the beach, isn't it?
In the afternoon, Craig was back on the top verandah enjoying the sun again. It's a really nice place to be on a warm winter's day.
In the evening, Craig played on the bed with a new ball that Bailey had given him. Bailey is a very generous little guy and he got on very well with Craig.
Bailey came in to see if Craig liked the ball.
After dinner Craig was allowed to play with one of Bailey's books. On the table you can see the last bits of Craig's Grandma's apple pie. That was a real treat.
