Trip to the Zoo

Craig went to Taipei Zoo for the very first time on Thursday last week. He took the MRT with his Mum and Dad but spent most of the trip trying to get his Mum to carry him.

The first thing that people see when the enter the zoo is a pool full of pink flamingos! They were very pretty but Craig didn't seem too impressed.

It was quite hot out in the sun so the next place Craig visited was a little building with nocturnal animals in it. Naturally, since it was the middle of the day, they were all asleep.

Directly outside the little building was a large group of Taiwanese macaques. They are very lively little monkeys but again Craig had other interests.

After catching a little shuttle bus up to the top of the zoo, Craig went to see the Penguin House.

Once again, Craig didn't spend much time looking at the animals.

He spent more time looking at other children than he did looking at the penguins.

Then, just after they went outside again Craig fell asleep! He never saw the elephants that were so close..... He even slept through lunch.

After arriving home, Craig was seemed happy to be back amongst his toys. He seems more interested in them than animals at the moment.
